Notes that are a transcript are notes you will never open again.
A verbatim transcript of a lecture is a recording with extra steps. Notes earn their keep when they are compressed into your own words, tagged to the assignment they will feed, and revisited once a week. The weekly pass is the part everyone skips and the part that turns notes into a draft.
